Job summary

The Isle of Wight Council is recruiting a Personal Adviser based in Newport, Isle of Wight. The post supports care-experienced young people aged 18 to 25, helping them access education, employment, housing and health services, and to transition into adulthood with practical, emotional and advocacy support.

This temporary role is based on Isle of Wight and follows agile, flexible working practices. You will build relationships, coordinate services with partner agencies, and champion the voice of

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people or care-experienced individuals.
• Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and risk management.
• Experience working in partnership with multiple agencies.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, guidance and practical support to care-experienced young people aged 18-25.
• Develop, implement and review Pathway Plans reflecting aspirations.
• Coordinate and monitor services to support transition to adulthood.
• Advocate for young people and ensure their voice influences decisions.
