Qualifications

• Must be a skilled chef with care sector experience.
• Strong leadership with a proven track record of managing a team.
• Experience in stock ordering, budget management and menu planning.
• Holder of an advanced food hygiene certificate with good personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with nursing colleagues to meet patients' nutritional and dietary needs.
• Order food supplies, plan and review menus.
• Prepare, cook and serve food of the highest standard.
• Organise work rotas, manage budgets and kitchen staff.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas and dining room.
• Maintain personal hygiene to comply with standards and regulations.
• Ensure records are accurate and comply with regulations and procedures.
• Handle, maintain and store kitchen equipment according to procedures.
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
