Job summary

St Philips Care Group is seeking a reliable and experienced cook to join our busy kitchen at The Grove Skellingthorpe Care Centre. You will prepare nutritious meals and desserts in line with residents' needs and budgets, delivering home-style cooking with care and attention.

The role includes adhering to policies, maintaining hygiene, and attending training. An enhanced DBS/PVG check will be required. Previous care or kitchen experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Catering or equivalent.
• Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience in care/hospital kitchen advantageous but not essential.
• Good verbal and written communication with residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and beverages.
• Follow home policies and procedures.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• Manage resources and order food as needed.
• Report issues raised by residents to the Care Centre Manager.
• Attend mandatory and in-house training.
• Understand COSHH requirements.
• Keep cleanliness and hygiene records.
