Job summary

St Philips Care Group is recruiting a reliable and experienced cook to join our busy kitchen at The Grove Skellingthorpe Care Centre. You will prepare and serve meals, work to budgets and maintain high hygiene and presentation for residents.

Experience in care, hospital or commercial kitchens is advantageous but full training is provided. NVQ Level 2 in Catering or Basic/Intermediate Food Hygiene is preferred, and you should have good verbal and written communication to relate well with

• Experience in preparing and serving meals with attention to hygiene.
• Ability to work within home budgets and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• To prepare and serve meals and beverages as required.
• To work in accordance with the home's policies.
• To carry out kitchen duties ensuring a high standard of hygiene at all times.
• To use resources effectively and order food.
• Report any issues or matters raised by service users regarding catering to the Care Centre Manager.
• Attend mandatory and in-house training as required.
• Understand COSHH.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene records as required.
