Job summary

Falkirk Council Housing with care service in Falkirk is seeking a cook to prepare, cook and serve meals for tenants and service users daily in a dedicated kitchen. The role covers stock control and ordering, alongside breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

The service operates 7 days a week, with a 32-hour contract for 6 months to cover absence. Induction and development training, and a local government pension scheme are included.

Qualifications

• Experience of food preparation and cooking in a working kitchen.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and flexible with respect for others.
• Willing to gain PVG membership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals for tenants and service users daily.
• Stock control and ordering of food.
• Shift pattern will be discussed at interview.
• All posts involve lone working.
