Qualifications

• Experience as a skilled chef, preferably in care sector.
• Holder of a basic food hygiene certificate.
• Polite, professional and with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communicator able to liaise with staff at all levels.
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals for patients, staff and visitors.
• Liaise with nursing colleagues to meet dietary needs.
• Ensure kitchen and dining areas are clean.
• Supervise kitchen staff when deputising for the Head Chef.
• Maintain personal hygiene per Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations.
• Handle, maintain and store kitchen equipment safely.
• Use chemicals per COSHH regulations.
