Job summary

Beaconsfield Heights Care Home—part of Avery Healthcare Group Ltd.—is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation, maintain a clean kitchen and ensure high hygiene standards. You will help provide a warm, respectful service to residents and visitors while following food safety guidelines and ordering supplies as needed.

The role requires a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, DBS check, and a flexible, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and COSHH considerations.
• Initiative and a flexible approach to working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering function in food preparation.
• Maintain a clean kitchen for safe production of beverages and meals.
• Deliver a high quality service to residents and visitors.
• Apply safe food handling principles to meet hygiene standards.
• Contribute to team working and follow reasonable instructions.
• Advise on supplies and order replacements in good time.
• Treat residents and visitors with dignity and respect.
