Job summary

gobecare is hiring a full-time Kitchen Assistant at our care home in Coatbridge. The role involves helping with meal preparation under the Chef's direction, maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area, and assisting with dishwashing and general duties. Training will be provided.

Weekend work is required, with a 2-week rolling rota including alternate weekends. The ideal candidate will be flexible, have a good team spirit, and be committed to high standards of hygiene and patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare meals under direction of the Chef.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas hygienically clean.
• Load the dishwasher or wash-up by hand when required.
• Assist Chef with ordering supplies if required.
• Follow food hygiene regulations and infection control policies.
