Job summary

Nazareth care home is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to support the catering team. You will assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring meals are presented to a high standard and that kitchen hygiene is maintained. Training is provided, and DBS/PVG checks are arranged as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen is helpful but not essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills are important.
• Willing to undertake Level 2 Food Hygiene training if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving food.
• Prepare residents' meal trolleys and trays to the correct standard prior to serving meals.
• Participate in general kitchen duties as required.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
