Job summary

Bupa is hiring a Kitchen Assistant at Queensmount Care Home in Bournemouth. The role is part-time (20 hours per week) with an hourly pay of £13.10–£14.10. You will support the kitchen team, help plate meals, prepare trolleys, and ensure clean preparation areas while following safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates have kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, with a focus on delivering a pleasant dining experience for residents and effective teamwork across the home.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a kitchen with a passion for food.
• Good communication with team and residents.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs with plating meals and food trolleys; keep prep areas clean and tidy.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
