Job summary

Cynergy Group is seeking an experienced Registered Care Home Manager to lead a Good-rated residential and dementia home in East Sussex. The role focuses on maintaining excellent CQC standards while guiding development, including introducing nursing provision and ensuring strong occupancy.

You will work with senior leadership to shape staffing, governance and service delivery, ensuring high-quality resident care and commercial performance. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Registered Care Home Manager in elderly residential, dementia or nursing care.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
• Solid understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, governance and quality assurance.
• Proven track record of achieving and maintaining positive CQC outcomes.
• Experience managing occupancy, staffing, budgets and commercial performance.
• Strong leadership with ability to develop and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to lead established service through change and development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, visible leadership across the home.
• Maintain and build upon the home's Good CQC rating and standards.
• Take full responsibility for day-to-day operational performance of the service.
• Deliver high standards of person-centred residential and dementia care.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to introduce nursing provision.
• Support the service through regulatory, staffing and governance changes.
• Recruit, coach, mentor and develop colleagues as the service evolves.
• Ensure governance, safeguarding and quality assurance are robust.
• Maintain occupancy and support the home's commercial performance.
• Manage staffing, budgets and resources effectively.
• Build relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and commissioners.
• Drive continuous improvement with senior operational and clinical leadership.
