Job summary

Chandlers Ford Care Home is seeking a Maintenance Officer to keep the home safe, well maintained and fully operational. This hands-on role involves carrying out a wide range of repairs and upkeep across the building and grounds, with practical, proactive approach.

You will work with the Home Manager and wider team to coordinate maintenance planning, safety checks and contractor coordination, ensuring health and safety standards are met and residents feel secure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role.
• Good knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• A proactive and practical approach.
• Reliable, organised and able to problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds.
• Ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently.
• Support maintenance planning, compliance checks and contractor coordination.
