Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Operative for our Braintree Mews Care Home. You will maintain the building and grounds, perform routine maintenance tasks, and fix basic issues to keep facilities fully functional.

We value caring and reliable individuals who can support residents and colleagues. A full driving licence and a DBS check will be required, with eligibility to work in the UK confirmed.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, joinery and building works.
• Able to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs.
• Experience with safety best practices and COSHH assessments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs inside and outside the Home.
• Support residents with room setup and decoration where needed.
• Ensure routine redecoration to maintain standards in the home.
• Source and order replacement goods as required.
• Provide out-of-hours on-call maintenance support.
