Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operative to join our facilities team. You will carry out minor repairs to buildings, furniture, fixtures and equipment, and support with safety and fire procedures within our care home.

The role requires a trade qualification or relevant maintenance experience, plus ability to work with contractors and drive company vehicles. We offer a supportive environment with learning opportunities and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• A trade qualification or equivalent experience in maintenance.
• Experience with repairs, decorating, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Experience with Fire and Health & Safety checks and record keeping.
• Experience working with onsite building contractors.
• Clean driving license and ability to drive company vehicles.
• Care environment experience (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out minor repairs to buildings, furniture and equipment; liaise with external contractors for specialised work.
• Assist with induction/training of colleagues on safety and evacuation procedures.
• Support in leading fire drills and exercises.
• Carry out general gardening and ensure outdoor spaces are tidy and secure.
