Job summary

The Kensington in Northallerton is seeking a reliable Maintenance Person to join our care home team. You will be the hands-on problem solver, keeping the home safe, well-maintained and running smoothly, and you will work closely with the Home Manager to prioritise maintenance tasks.

Roles include carrying out repairs, safety checks, and occasional travel to collect supplies. A DBS check and references will be required, and eligibility to work in the UK is essential (no sponsorship available).

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• DBS check enhanced to be completed if offered a role.
• Ability to plan and prioritise maintenance tasks with the Home Manager.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance across the home.
• Perform weekly, monthly and annual compliance checks.
• Fire alarm testing and record keeping.
• PAT testing and safety checks on equipment.
• Paint, decorate and garden maintenance as needed.
• Liaise with external contractors when required.
