Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Maintenance Operative to care for Birchmere Mews Care Home in Solihull. You’ll keep the building and grounds well maintained, undertaking electrical, plumbing, joinery and general repairs to keep facilities fully functional.

You’ll support new residents with room arrangements and ensure decoration standards are met, while complying with health and safety standards. DBS check required.

Formación

• Experience as a maintenance operative is essential in a care home environment.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH, Moving and Handling and Fire Safety.
• DBS disclosure check will be provided/covered by the employer.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs across electrical, plumbing, joinery and building work.
• Carry out checks to services and ensure facilities are fully functional inside and outside the Home.
• Assist new residents with arranging their rooms and maintaining decoration standards; participate in an on-call rota.
