Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Willowbeck, a care home in Sheffield. You will oversee a broad range of maintenance tasks, ensure safety, and coordinate the team to keep the home well-maintained and compliant.

The role involves decorating, gardening, plumbing, tiling, and supervising external contractors as required. The position emphasizes strong IT skills for using maintenance apps, driving to site, and enforcing safe working practices while supporting residents

Qualifications

• Broad range of maintenance skills across decorating, plumbing, tiling and general upkeep.
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance.
• Ability to lead, motivate and supervise maintenance colleagues and liaise with external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks around the home, including 예방 and reactive work.
• Carry out plant room checks and report defects to Estates Team.
• Monitor water temperature and flush taps to ensure water hygiene.
• Inspect and clear drains, test emergency lighting, and take utility meter readings.
• Decorate, paint, tile, garden and maintain grounds.
• Supervise the maintenance team and coordinate day-to-day activities.
