Job summary

The Willows Care Home is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the home safe, well maintained and comfortable. This hands-on role involves a range of tasks across the building and grounds, with emphasis on safety, upkeep and proactive problem-solving.

You will work independently and with the team, following health and safety procedures while supporting planned maintenance and compliance checks. This is a rewarding role within a caring, family-like environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Proactive and practical approach to tasks.
• Reliable, organised and able to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks across the building and grounds.
• Perform repairs, basic electrical checks, installations and general upkeep.
• Ensure equipment and systems are safe and working efficiently, responding to issues promptly.
• Follow health and safety procedures and support compliance checks.
