Job summary

Etive House Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Housekeeping / Laundry Assistant in the Oban area. The role involves cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, as well as supporting laundry services.

It offers a structured environment with infection control and safety procedures in place. You will join a caring team in a village setting, with a focus on dignity and daily wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and organisation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing clearly labelled.
• Follow infection control, health and safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected.
