Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation and service in a care home environment. You will help plate meals, maintain high hygiene standards and assist the chefs while coordinating with staff and residents to ensure smooth service.

The role requires flexibility to work shifts, good communication skills, and an interest in delivering quality meals within health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and catering in line with Health and Safety and Food Standard regulations.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen cleaning schedules; keep all areas clean.
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep prep areas tidy.
• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents to support meal service.
• Be flexible to work shifts and communicate effectively at all levels.
• A genuine interest in working in a care home environment.
