Maria Mallaband Care Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support a care home kitchen with food preparation and cleansing duties. You will ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Food Standards regulations, and help maintain immaculate kitchen cleanliness.

The role requires the ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively with residents and staff. Prior care home experience is preferred, with a commitment to flexible shifts and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage pressure and prioritise tasks.
• Link between main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs to plate meals and prep trolleys.
• Maintain clean and tidy preparation areas.
• Experience in care home environment desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and assist with food in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Monitor kitchen cleaning schedules and wash-up as required.
• Act as liaison between main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs with plating meals and food trolley preparation.
• Keep preparation areas clean and well-organised.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work shifts.
