Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our care home dining service. You will work under supervision to prepare meals, plate dishes, and maintain a clean kitchen in line with Health and Safety standards.

You must be able to work under pressure, communicate clearly with residents and staff, and be flexible to different shifts. Prior care home experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate at all levels.
• Link between main kitchen and residents, ensuring cleanliness.
• Assist chefs with plating and food prep, keep prep areas tidy.
• Interest in working in a care home environment; prior care home experience desirable.
• Committed, organized and a confident communicator.
• Flexible to work shifts.
