Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group Ltd is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation and service in a care-home setting. You will help plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep preparation areas clean, while adhering to Health and Safety guidelines.

The role requires clear communication, the ability to prioritise tasks, and a genuine interest in working with residents. Previous care home experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
• Ability to liaise between the main kitchen and residents and care staff.
• Flexible and reliable with a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with plating meals and preparing food trolleys.
• Maintain cleanliness of prep and service areas in line with Health & Safety standards.
• Support kitchen operations and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Contribute to a professional, caring and well-organised kitchen environment.
