Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation and maintain kitchen cleanliness in a care home environment. You will work with the kitchen team, plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all areas meet Health and Safety standards.

The role requires the ability to manage pressure, communicate effectively at all levels and liaise with residents to deliver a high standard of care and service.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise between kitchen and residents.
• Willingness to work in a care home environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep preparation areas clean and tidy.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in line with Health and Safety and Food Standards regulations.
