Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group Ltd. is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join Dukes Court Care Home in Wellingborough.

You will support the catering function, help prepare meals and beverages, and maintain hygiene and safety standards to provide a high-quality service to our residents. The ideal candidate will hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, have knowledge of Health and Safety practices, and demonstrate the energy and flexibility to work in a busy care environment.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Be an efficient worker with the ability to sustain a demanding workload and show initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment.
• Ensure safe production of beverages and meals with high service quality to residents.
• Adhere to hygiene and safety standards and respond to work instructions promptly.
• Contribute to team working and support colleagues as needed.
