Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrates high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Efficient, able to sustain physical effort and handle a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and a flexible, team-oriented approach.
• Caring and understanding attitude towards residents.

Responsibilities

• Understanding the principles of safe food handling, to ensure all food preparations in the kitchen meet high hygiene standards.
• Contribute to team working, respond positively to colleagues, and follow instructions promptly.
• Advise on the supply and quality of items needed to carry out tasks, ensuring timely ordering of replacements.
• Act with respect towards residents and their visitors, preserving dignity and individuality.
