Job summary

Alexander House Care Home in Exeter is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, supporting laundry services and ensuring high hygiene standards.

You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, assist with laundry tasks, follow infection control procedures, and may be required to work alternate weekends. The role pays £12.71 per hour on a 40-hour week with 5.6 weeks' annual leave, DBS paid, pension and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and organisation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Work as part of the wider team to maintain a well organised and comfortable environment.
