Job summary

Abbeywood Care Home in Greater Manchester is seeking a reliable full-time Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents. You will work 32 hours per week on shifts from 07:30 to 14:00, supporting residents’ daily living with dignity and respect.

We offer ongoing training in hygiene and infection control, a supportive team, and opportunities for personal and career development within the home.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role (essential).
Willingness to work 32 hours per week on early shifts 07:30–14:00.
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Adheres to infection control and hygiene standards.
Respect for residents' privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment in accordance with hygiene, infection control and health and safety.
Clean residents’ bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms and lounges, ensuring all equipment and materials are safely stored and maintained.
Work closely with our residents to promote comfort, dignity and wellbeing.
Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock levels.
Work as part of the wider care home team to support a high standard of service.
