Midlands Care in Leicester is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to support our care home team. You will help keep resident rooms, communal areas, and laundry spaces clean and hygienic, while following COSHH and infection control practices.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; full training provided.
• Basic numeracy and literacy; good spoken English.
• Team-oriented, interpersonal skills, eager to learn.
• Reliable, adaptable, and proactive in maintaining cleanliness.
• Enhanced DBS Check will be undertaken during recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise cleanliness and hygiene of resident rooms and communal areas.
• Follow housekeeping policies and infection-control practices.
• Collaborate with care team to support residents with dignity.
• Maintain hygiene in domestic and laundry areas per COSHH and infection-prevention.
• Monitor stock levels for cleaning supplies and safe chemical storage.
• Participate in mandatory and supplementary training courses.
• Complete induction programme.
