Job summary

Avery Healthcare in Surrey is seeking a Deputy Manager (RGN qualified) to support the General Manager in operating a compliant, person-centred home for residents and visitors, while meeting professional standards and commercial targets.

You will lead staff, oversee medication practices, monitor resident wellbeing, contribute to audits and reports, and participate in weekly clinical meetings to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a nursing qualification and an active NMC PIN.
• Minimum of two years’ management experience in a care environment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and use IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership to the staff team.
• Ensure medication policies are followed and support reviews.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and update care plans.
• Complete monthly quality audits and reports.
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and manage clinical risk areas.
