About the role

As our Deputy Manager, you will assist in managing operations within the home to reach or exceed goals while ensuring high-quality care. You will oversee care staff and assume full management in the absence of the Home Manager.

You will train and supervise care staff, assist with pre-admission assessments, ensure care plans and records are up to date, and communicate effectively with residents' families and organizations.

Reports to: Home Manager

Skills and attributes

• Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
• Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs.
• Ability to identify safeguarding adult/abuse referral pathways.
• Good knowledge of CQC standards.
• Ability to build relationships with care professionals, families, visitors, and staff.
• Promote ownership of care programs involving service users and families.

Education and qualification

  • NMC registered nurse with relevant experience - essential.
