Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Deputy Manager to join our team on the Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity for a current Care Team Leader or Care Manager looking to take the next step in their career or an existing Care Home Deputy Manager seeking a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities as Care Home Deputy Manager:

  1. Assist the Care Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home.
  2. Provide strong leadership and support to the care team, ensuring high standards of care are consistently delivered.
  3. Oversee the development and implementation of care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents.
  4. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  5. Manage staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
  6. Conduct staff training and development programs to enhance the skills of the care team.
  7. Support the Care Home Manager in audits and inspections, and implement any required changes.
  8. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for residents and staff.

Skills and Qualifications Required for Care Home Deputy Manager:
  1. Previous experience in a similar role within a care home setting, either as an existing care home deputy manager or care team leader / care manager etc stepping up.
  2. Strong leadership and management skills.
  3. Experience in an elderly care home setting.
  4. Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above).
