Athena Gr Care Homes in Peterborough is seeking a Cook to support the Head, Sous and Assistant Chefs in delivering high-quality catering and residential dining for residents.

The role involves up to 40 hours weekly on a rota, with a starting hourly rate of £14.57 (includes an uplift for holiday pay). The environment is a care home setting with focus on cleanliness, teamwork and resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience within a kitchen role is required.
• Exposure to a care environment is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• To assist the Head, Sous and Assistant Chefs to ensure catering services and dining meet high standards for residents.
• To guide and lead Kitchen Assistants to maintain top-quality service.
• To support audits and ensure timely action on any required improvements.
• To maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene to required standards.
