Greensleeves Care is seeking a skilled Cook to join one of our 26 care homes in England. You will work with the Head Chef to create balanced meals that meet dietary needs and prepare, cook and serve meals while upholding strong kitchen hygiene and safety standards.

The role requires relevant food hygiene and preparation qualifications, understanding of residents' dietary importance, and the ability to work in a busy kitchen, with leadership responsibilities under pressure.

Qualifikationen

• Relevant food hygiene and food preparation qualifications (Essential).
• An understanding of the importance of food for the residents (Essential).
• An understanding of the importance of a balanced and varied diet (Essential).
• Experience of working in a kitchen environment (Essential).
• Experience of serving food in a professional environment (Essential).
• Able to lead staff in a pressured environment (Essential).

Aufgaben

• Contribute to creating meals for menus which incorporate choice, are balanced and suitable for special diets.
• Cater for special occasions within the home.
• Be aware of stocks and purchases to allocate quantities of materials.
• Prepare, cook and serve meals. Clear and wash up with assistance.
• Ensure kitchen hygiene and safety rules are observed by all staff.
• Ensure that all kitchen staff clean the kitchen after use and leave it in a clean state.
