• Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in care settings.
• Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safety standards.
• Experience in menu planning and catering for special dietary requirements.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate and patient approach when working with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare a varied menu that meets the nutritional needs of residents and patients.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Adhere to food hygiene and safety standards.
• Cater for allergies and special diets.
• Work within a budget while maintaining high standards of food quality.
• Manage kitchen staff, including training and scheduling.
• Order and manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
• Engage with residents and patients to receive feedback and improve the menu.
