Job summary

Cucumber Catering is recruiting experienced Care Home Chefs for ongoing agency work across the Cambridgeshire area. Immediate starts are available for candidates with care home kitchen experience.

You will prepare nutritious meals for residents, ensure all dietary requirements are met, and work closely with the care team to uphold high standards of food quality, hygiene and service. Weekly pay and flexible shifts are offered.

Qualifications

• Care home chef experience is essential for this role.
• Experience in preparing meals for large numbers of residents is required.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and special diets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality meals for residents.
• Follow menus and accommodate individual dietary needs.
• Prepare meals for allergies, intolerances and special diets.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with regulations.
• Manage stock and minimise food waste.
• Work effectively as part of the care home team.
• Adapt menus to resident needs and provide friendly service.
