Cucumber Catering is seeking experienced Care Home Chefs for ongoing agency shifts across the UK, with immediate starts available. The role focuses on preparing nutritious meals in care home settings, meeting dietary requirements, and maintaining high standards of hygiene.

Shifts offer flexible patterns, a high volume of work, weekly pay, and DBS support. If you have relevant care home kitchen experience and good availability, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Care home chef experience is essential.
• Experience in a care home or healthcare environment.
• Confident preparing meals for large numbers of residents.
• Knowledge of special diets and dietary requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Ready to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals for residents.
• Follow menus and cater for individual dietary requirements.
• Prepare meals for residents with allergies, intolerances and special diets.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with regulations.
• Manage stock and minimise food waste.
• Work effectively as part of the care home team.
• Adapt menus and meals to meet residents' needs.
• Provide friendly and professional service to residents and staff.
