Avalon Park Care Home in Oldham is seeking a Chef to deliver high quality meals for residents, ensuring dietary needs are met and meals are presented well. You will work as part of a supportive team in a stable, no late-evening schedule, with ongoing training and development opportunities.

The role offers a consistent pattern, 40 hours per week, and pay of £15.05–£15.65 per hour, with paid DBS, pension, and uniform provided. Avalon Park Care Home is part of Care Concern Group.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive and reliable approach.
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals for residents.
• Take ownership of food preparation and service, tailoring meals to dietary needs.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety.
• Contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and day-to-day service.
• Provide consistent work pattern with no late evenings or split shifts.
