Nurse Seekers Ltd has partnered with a luxury retirement home in Worthing to recruit an experienced Care Home Chef. You will plan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals for up to 37 residents, respecting dietary requirements and textures as needed.

The role is full-time and offers a competitive hourly pay of £15.00 - £16.00. You will work to high hygiene standards, support the care team, and contribute to a warm, homely dining experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef delivering home-cooked meals.
• Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safe prep.
• Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or higher desirable.
• Care setting experience is advantageous.
• Well organised, reliable, able to work independently.
• Committed to nutritious, high-quality meals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh meals for up to 37 residents.
• Cater to dietary requirements and texture-modified diets.
• Create varied, balanced menus reflecting resident preferences.
• Maintain high food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP procedures.
• Collaborate with the care team on dietary needs.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.
