Job summary

Nurse Seekers is seeking a caring Chef to join a friendly care home team in Totton. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals that support residents' wellbeing and enjoyment, with daytime shifts and no late nights.

You'll cater for dietary requirements, maintain high hygiene standards, manage stock, and help create a positive dining experience. A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate and prior chef experience are preferred, and training opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous Chef experience.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or above.
• Understanding of dietary requirements.
• Reliable, caring and team-focused.
• Care setting experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals.
• Cater for dietary requirements, including soft diets, allergies and diabetic needs.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Manage stock and minimise waste.
• Help create a positive dining experience for residents.
