Job summary
The Royal British Legion is seeking a qualified Chef to join our care home team in Ripon. You will prepare, produce and deliver nutritious and beautifully presented meals for residents, staff and visitors, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
This casual role offers flexible hours to fit your availability and the needs of the care home. A City & Guilds 706 qualification and an intermediary food hygiene certificate are required, with prior care home catering experience
Qualifications
- Must hold City & Guilds 706 (1&2) Food Preparation or equivalent.
- Intermediary food hygiene certificate required.
- Experience in catering within a care home or similar setting beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Work with Head Chef to deliver catering services.
- Prepare food for residents according to nutrition guidelines.
- Maintain high standard of food provision and service.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure health & safety records and monitoring meet requirements.
