Advinia is seeking a creative Chef to join our care home catering team in Bedford. You will work 40 hours a week, preparing daily meals for Residents, Staff and Visitors, while taking part in events and themed menus.

You’ll manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensure food safety and cost control, and contribute to menu planning. The role offers a supportive environment, flexibility around events, and opportunities for development and training.

Formación

• GCSE or equivalent English required.
• City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 in Basic Food Preparation.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Intermediate Food Hygiene desirable.
• Previous experience in a similar environment.
• Budgeting, menu planning, ordering and stock control experience.

Responsabilidades

• Run day-to-day kitchen operations and service.
• Maintain food storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, accommodating dietary requirements.
• Serve Residents, Staff and Visitors professionally.
• Prepare foods for events and assist with costings.
• Adhere to HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Take full shift responsibility for the catering operation.
• Assist in creating new menus and maintain paperwork for HACCP.
