Job summary

Mariposa & Papillon Care is seeking an Assistant Chef for Sovereign Lodge Care Home. You will assist the Chef to prepare, cook and serve meals, ensuring residents receive nutritious options within dietary requirements.

Experience in care home kitchens is preferred; a Level 2/3 catering qualification or commitment to further training is required. The role is part-time (18 hours/week) at £13.82 per hour, with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Good English and numeracy skills are required.
• Level 2 or Level 3 catering qualification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals for residents.
• Maintain accurate records and order food supplies.
• Check deliveries and ensure kitchen and dining areas meet Health & Safety standards.
• Assist with special dietary requirements and proper food storage.
