Job summary

SeeMeHired in the United Kingdom is seeking an Activities Coordinator for a Care Home. You will plan and implement activities to help Clients socialise, encourage participation by Staff, Relatives and Friends, and accompany Clients to offsite activities, including weekends.

The role requires maintaining records, assisting with fundraising and budgeting for events, ensuring health and safety, and promoting a positive atmosphere tailored to each Client.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and organise a range of events/activities for Clients in all Client categories.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Team player and ability to work independently.
• Satisfactory Police Check and POVA List check where applicable.
• Flexible approach to working routines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities to help Clients socialise and cater for all tastes.
• Encourage Staff Members, Relatives and Friends to participate in activities.
• Accompany Clients to offsite activities, including occasional evenings.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and review Client Care Files.
• Assist Home Manager with fundraising and budgeting for entertainments and outings.
• Communicate aims of recreation therapy with staff and report changes in Client condition.
