Job summary

Hill Care Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver a varied programme of activities for Clients, promoting social interaction and wellbeing.

You will work with the Home Manager to organise fundraising events, supervise volunteers, and ensure accurate records of daily activities, while maintaining a safe, friendly environment.

The role requires you to be creative, a team player, and capable of working on your own initiative.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and organise activities for Clients in all Client categories.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Team player with ability to work on own initiative.
• Friendly, creative and confident with genuine interest in the Client group.
• Satisfactory Police Check and POVA List clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities to socialise Clients in the Care Home.
• Plan monthly rolling/individual programmes and encourage ongoing hobbies.
• Encourage Staff, Relatives and Friends to participate in activities.
• Accompany Clients to offsite activities when needed, possibly outside hours.
• Create an atmosphere that matches each Client's needs.
• Assist with fundraising and budgeting for entertainments and outings.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and update Client Care Files.
• Discuss recreation aims with staff and report changes to the Home Manager.
• Arrange staff and Client meetings as required.
• Assist Home Manager with interviewing Volunteers and supervise their work.
• Market the Care Home and promote its profile in the local community.
• Ensure staff know how to use equipment and attend mandatory training.
