Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a Caring Careers Advisor to support recruitment across four offices (Winchester/Andover/Petersfield/Burnham). The role offers an £25–30k salary, full training, and a friendly team. You will promote inclusive hiring, handle inquiries, coordinate interviews, and help with sponsorship processes where needed.

The position emphasizes compassion, organisation, and a proactive approach, with 28 days annual leave and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Proven recruitment experience in health and social care preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone manner.
  • Good administrative and IT literacy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Promote anti-discriminatory practice in recruitment and selection.
  • Answer initial recruitment enquiries and provide information about working for our service.
  • Ask questions to engage candidates and listen to understand their situation.
  • Gather and document applicant information.
  • Arrange interviews and send relevant correspondence.
  • Manage pre-employment documentation and skills assessments.
  • Follow up to ensure interviews are booked.
  • Maintain and update the applicant database.
  • Assist with visa sponsorship documentation when required.
  • Provide flexible support as part of the Bluebird Care team.

Responsibilities

As a Careers Advisoryour key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting anti-discriminatory practice in recruitment and selection.
  • Answering initial recruitment enquiries and providing the potential new recruit with all the information about working for our service
  • Asking questions to engage the potential new recruit and listening fully to understand their situation
  • Gathering and documenting applicant information
  • Arranging interviews and sending relevant correspondence
  • Managing pre-employment documentation and booking appropriate skills assessment
  • Following up to ensure interviews are booked
  • Ensuring database is maintained and fully updated
  • Supporting the Authorising Officer with obtaining the correct documentation from candidates who require visa sponsorship
  • Informing potential sponsorship candidates of the process and the expectations
  • Being prepared to work flexibly as part of the Bluebird Care team.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in recruitment field, preferably within Health and Social Care
  • Relevant social care qualification, or willing to work towards gaining this qualification
  • Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner
  • Good administrative skills and computer literacy
  • Full driver’s licence with no more than 6 points, Class 1 business insurance and a current MOT (if using own car for business purposes).
