Job summary

CTRG Limited in Salford, Greater Manchester, M5 4AL, is seeking a Funeral Care Centre Assistant. You will clean and maintain funeralcare vehicles, assist with housekeeping, prepare coffins, and handle floral tributes with care, while reporting to the Care Logistics Management team.

Key attributes include a Full UK Manual Driving License, empathy, calmness in emotional circumstances, and the ability to work as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Clean funeralcare vehicles daily, including polishing and waxing.
• Move ceremonial vehicles within the Care Centre grounds (no public road driving).
• Assist with housekeeping in public and private areas and report maintenance.
• Fully prepare coffins and handle floral tributes with care.
• Report to Care Logistics Management and follow safety requirements.
• Ensure professionalism, dignity, and compassionate service at all times.

Your pay rate and shifts as Funeral Care Centre Assistant:

CleanFuneralcare vehicles on aday-to-daybasisincluding polish & wax routine

Move ceremonial vehicles within the Care Centre grounds (no public road driving)

Assistin general housekeepingin both public andprivate areas, report any buildingandequipment maintenance to amanager.

FullyPrepareall types ofcoffins.

Handle floral tributes with care.

Reportingto the Care LogisticsManagement teamand responding appropriately to instructions.

Ensuringyou fullycomply withall Health and safety requirements and checks.

What you’ll do – Being there for each other:

Working with other colleagues to promote teamwork to ensure high standards of service delivery.

Always maintaining a professional and dignified manner.

Ensuring the use of appropriate equipment and approved manual handling techniques are complied with to eliminate the possibility of accident or injury.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Full UK Manual Driving License Required

Being a team player, building and maintaining professional relationships.

Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills utilising all available technology, when required.

Willingness to learn new skills and approach challenges.

Ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling from strained positions.

Required to always act with discretion and empathy.
