Job summary

Home Instead is seeking kind, reliable Care Assistants to support older adults across Folkestone and Hythe, Kent. Visits are at least an hour long to focus on dignity, comfort and safety, with evenings 16:00–21:00 and alternate weekends.

You will help with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping and companionship, ensuring clients feel safe, valued and independent in their own homes. A full driving licence and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Clear English and good communication skills.
• A warm, patient and caring nature.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful personal care and support with bathing, dressing, and hygiene while maintaining dignity.
• Assist with mobility and safe movement around the client’s home.
• Prepare meals, snacks and hot drinks; help with light household tasks.
• Offer companionship and conversation, monitor wellbeing and provide reminders for medications when appropriate.

• Providing respectful personal care, such as helping with washing, showering, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene, while always maintaining dignity and independence
• Supporting with mobility and helping clients move around their home safely
• Preparing meals, snacks and hot drinks
• Helping with light household tasks to keep their home safe and comfortable
• Offering companionship, conversation and a friendly face
• Supporting with medication reminders and other health-related tasks where appropriate

You’ll be required to work Evenings 16:00-21:00 and alternate Weekends. £14.25-£15.70/hr + 35p per mile
