Job summary

Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill is a modern care home in Hampshire, near Winchester, offering dementia and nursing care within a family-like setting. The home accommodates up to 64 residents across smaller household units to foster a homely atmosphere.

A Care Assistant provides personal care, supports residents and families, and collaborates with nurses to maintain high standards of care; NVQ/QCF 2 is preferred, with ample training available.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF 2 in Health & Social Care preferred but not mandatory.
• Good communication and teamwork are essential.
• Willingness to learn with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred personal care respecting individual choices.
• Support residents when unwell or at end of life as needed.
• Act as a Key-worker to several residents.
• Assist nurses in writing and reviewing care plans.
• Document care given and report changes to the shift lead.
• Support residents' families with information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Liaise with Activities Team to plan engaging activities.
• Coordinate with GP, Social Services, and other agencies as required.
