Job summary

Newlands Care Home in Stockport seeks a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, personal care and wellbeing. You will follow care plans, notice changes in condition and contribute to a safe, respectful environment where residents feel valued.

The role welcomes experienced carers or new entrants, with full training, ongoing development and a friendly, supportive team ethos at the heart of everyday care.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to ensure safe, responsive care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, positive environment where relationships matter.
• Open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training and development provided.
